Posted on 13th June 2018

Today (Wednesday, June 13) a number of warrants were carried out at addresses in Derby.

Four men and one woman have been arrested on suspicion of supplying Class B drugs as part of the ongoing operation to tackle the production and supply of Mamba and Spice in the city.

Yesterday six people were arrested, five of these remain in our custody and a woman has been released under investigation.

Superintendent Tracy Harrison said: “These arrests and warrants show that we are taking the issue of production, dealing and supply of Synthetic Cannabinoids seriously within our city.

“I would like to encourage the community of Derby to contact us should they have any information in relation to this type of drug and its use.

“Our Safer Neighbourhood teams conduct regular patrols around the city and will be willing to chat with you at any time.

“This operation has been very successful so far and we will continue to work in partnership to tackle this serious type of criminality.”
