Appeal released to trace man who has absconded from open prison

A man has failed to return to Sudbury open prison and officers have released his image in a bid to trace him.

On Saturday, March 10, Trevor Bernard failed to return from temporary day release.

He visited Clapton, London where he has family connections.

He was convicted at Birmingham Crown Court to five years and four months in prison for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

He is described as 43-years-old, black with short dark hair, 5ft 10ins tall and is of a slim build.
