Officers investigating a sexual assault that took place in Derby have released an image of a man who they would like to speak to in connection with their enquires.

A woman was in the area of the Wardwick in the city centre in the early hours of Saturday, May 12. She had visited a number of bars in the area. She was later sexually assaulted by a man.

Detective Sergeant Jim Shinfield said: “We are trying to piece together with the victim the circumstances of the evening and I believe that this man could assist us in doing this.

“I would urge him or anyone that recognises him to contact us.”
