Detectives seek to trace Good Samaritan who helped woman in Alvaston

Posted on 23rd May 2018

We’re trying to trace a Good Samaritan who helped a woman in Alvaston.

The woman has told us that she was walking along Brighton Road just before 10pm on Monday, May 21 when a car pulled up alongside her.

She says that a passenger from the car leaned out and pulled her coat. A passer-by intervened and pulled her back toward the pavement.

The car drove off towards London Road and the man who helped her, who did not speak, walked off.

She has described the Good Samaritan as white, in his mid-30s and may have been wearing a blue top.

The car is a black Volkswagen Golf and she said there were three men inside, who all looked to be under the age of 30 and wearing dark clothing.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call DS Stephanie Thandi on 101, quoting reference 18000232863.

Alternatively, send her a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website.
