Appeal for information after cash was stolen from a woman in Derby

Officers investigating a theft are appealing for further information to assist with their enquiries.

On Wednesday, May 16 at around 10am a woman was on Osmaston Road in Derby on her mobility scooter when a man stopped her and asked her for a cigarette.

She opened her handbag and he then snatched some money from inside and ran off.

The man was described as white, aged 25-30-years-old, with a small beard and was wearing a grey woolly hat, a jacket, jeans and a t-shirt.
