Officers investigating a robbery are appealing for information

We are appealing to the public for further information after an elderly woman was a victim of a robbery.

On Monday, November 26 at around 4.50pm a man knocked on the door of a house off of Manor Road in Littleover.

He asked the woman for a quantity of cash, when she refused he forced his way into the house and stole cash from her purse.

The man was described as white, around 5ft 7ins tall and was wearing dark coloured shoes and had something covering his mouth.

Detective Inspector Claire Hammond said: “I would like to appeal to anyone in the area that may have seen anyone acting suspicious around 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

“I would also like anyone that was driving in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage to contact us.
