Appeal for witnesses following serious collision in Ilkeston

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a collision in Ilkeston on Sunday (September 30).

The incident took place on Station Road, Ilkeston, at around 11.30am and involved a motorcycle and a mobility scooter.

A 90-year-old woman, who was driving the scooter at the time, suffered serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

A 28-year-old man from Eastwood has been arrested and released under investigation on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident – particularly anyone with dash cam footage – as well anyone who lives in Station Road that may have CCTV of the collision.
