Two arrested following alleged Normanton stabbing

Two people have been arrested following an incident in Normanton that left a man with potentially life-threatening injuries.

Officers were called to an address on Melbourne Street at around 4.20am this morning (Tuesday, October 9).

A 37-year-old man is being treated in hospital for neck injuries consistent with being attacked with a sharp object.

A 41-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman have been arrested.

A cordon remains in position as our investigation continues.
