Detectives issue renewed appeal for footage after suspected shotgun firing

Posted on 16th October 2018

Officers investigating the suspected firing of a shotgun at a door in Normanton are reissuing an appeal for footage.

It comes after damage was caused to the door of a house in St Chads Road on the evening of Sunday, October 7.

We believe that the damage was caused by a shotgun being fired.

Last week, we arrested two men, aged 24 and 25, in connection with the incident. Both have been bailed pending further inquiries.

We are now renewing our appeal for witnesses or anyone with footage that might help with our investigation.

In particular, we want to hear from anyone who has a dashcam and was driving in the area around St Chads Road between 8pm and 8.30pm on Sunday, October 7.

The area includes Empress Road, Mount Carmel Street, and Burton Road between the International Hotel and the Abbey Street junction.

We also want to hear from anyone living in that area who has private CCTV that may have footage between those times.

Anyone with information should get in touch using one of the below methods, quoting reference 18000481827.

You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
