Police treating Derby flat fire as possible arson

Posted on 3rd September 2018

Officers are looking for witnesses to a fire in a block of flats in Derby which may have been started deliberately.

At around 5pm on Wednesday, August 22, we received reports of a fire at a flat in Magee Court on Regent Street.

We are looking at the possibility that the fire was started via an object being posted through the letterbox.

The flat was empty at the time of the blaze. Nobody was injured.

We are keen to hear from anyone that saw anything suspicious or with any information that might help with our enquiries.
