Witnesses sought for Chaddesden flat fire

Posted on 10th September 2018

Officers are appealing for witnesses to a fire in Chaddesden that caused damage to a first-floor flat.

The blaze at a Wiltshire Road property was reported at around 6am on Saturday, August 25.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue were called, several people were rescued and no-one was injured.

It is thought that the fire began on a fly net outside the front door to the property.

We are investigating the possibility that it was started deliberately.

DC Hayley Beautyman “We are appealing to anyone that saw anyone acting suspiciously or has any information to come forward.”
