Man charged with rape, kidnap and attempted robbery

Samuel Dodsworth, 36, of Grange Street, Derby has been charged and remanded in custody following two separate alleged incidents in Derby on Monday, September 3.

It is reported that at around 7.45am a 75-year-old woman was walking through Arboretum Park when she was allegedly grabbed from behind by a man who demanded money.

Shortly after 7.45am, a 52-year-old woman was walking down Grayling Street, when she was reportedly grabbed by a man who threatened and kidnapped her, before allegedly raping her at an address nearby.
