Officers appeal for information after Chaddesden attempted robbery

We are appealing to the public for further information to assist with the investigation into an attempted robbery during which a 17-year-old boy was injured.

The alleged incident occurred on Madison Avenue, close to the junction with Atlow Road, on Saturday, August 4 between 9:30pm and 10pm.

The 17-year-old was punched repeatedly in the face by a man amid demands to give up his belongings.

On hearing the commotion, a neighbour went to his aid and the offender ran off.

The offender is described as being white, of slim build, and over 6ft tall. He has short, light-brown hair and was wearing a grey hoodie and tracksuit bottoms.
