Disability Equality Scheme

Derbyshire Constabulary has published its first Disability Equality Scheme. This explains how we are going to build upon our work to promote equality for disabled people and prevent discrimination against them.

We've included information on how disabled people have been involved in our public survey, together with the three-year action plan we've subsequently been able to create for on-going improvements. In this context, 'improvements' refer to the steps we will take both as an employer and service provider to ensure we serve disabled people fairly.

As a public authority, Derbyshire Constabulary has a duty to promote equality for disabled people under the Disability Discrimination Act 2005.
