Theft of Police Office Display Boards
Question(s)822 / 2010
How many cardboard cut-out police officers, used by the force, have been stolen or vandalised in the last five years?
For each incident, please can you tell me when and where it happened and the surrounding circumstances as well as if any arrests have been made and the outcome.
Refinement
We have spoken and you are aware that the retrieval would take over the 18 hours if the period was before 1.1.2007 as we commenced using anew crime recording system and would require a manual trawl of crime records. We have agreed to consider only records from 1.1.2007 onwards. |
ResponseThe searches located records relevant to your request as of 22nd April 2010.
As you will appreciate there are limits to the accuracy of information which can be retrieved by electronic means for our crime records. The nature of property is that it requires a free text style entry into the capture fields and as such it depends upon how the information is entered as to whether or not information is retrieved. In relation to your request we have tried a combination of "markers" to retrieve information e.g. "advertising", "display" and "police" but cannot ensure that all records have been retrieved. Only manual perusal could achieve some semblance of accurate retrieval and as we discussed such a recovery would vastly exceed the 18 hours of appropriate limits under the legislation.
