Your current priorities for this neighbourhood

  1. Underage drinking in Glossop Town Centre, on Corn Street and around Manor Park.
This issue was set on 24 November 2009

Actions to be taken are as follows:

    • Increase patrols on Friday and Saturday nights and confiscate alcohol from underage drinkers
    • Write to the parents of offenders.
    • Visit off licence stores to ensure they are checking for identification.
    • Carry out home visits with High Peak Community Housing officers
    • Consider Anti-Social Behaviour Orders and Acceptable Behaviour Contracts.

  2. Speeding vehicles in locations around Glossop, particularly the A57 along Sheffield Road.
This issue was set on 12 August 2009

Actions to be taken are as follows:

    • Community Speedwatch volunteers to patrol with officers.
    • Mobile speed radar checks will take place in the area.
    • Problem areas will be identified and our roads policing unit and the safety camera partnership will be asked to pay attention to those locations.

  3. Nuisance vehicles and anti-social driving in the Manor Park area.
This issue was set on 25 May 2010

Actions to be taken are as follows:

    • Increased patrols by both the Safer Neighbourhood policing team and Roads Policing Unit.
    • Advise drivers, issue Section 59 warnings and seize vehicles where necessary.
    • Encourage local residents to report any problems.
    • Help organise a road safety awareness event alongside partner agencies.

These priorities were agreed with your team at your last Safer Neighbourhoods meeting. These meetings are open to everybody and allow you to affect what you feel needs addressing in your area.
