Spondon, situated just North East of Derby City Centre, is located within Roe Farm Section. The area has a shopping precinct, community centre, two churches and several schools, the senior school being West Park Secondary School.

The neighbourhood pledge and local priorities

Derbyshire Constabulary has signed up to the Policing Pledge. Our Policing Pledge sets out the standards of service you can expect from us, including our response times and how often you will be able to see your Safer Neighbourhood Team visibly working in your area.

Your current priorities for this neighbourhood

  1. Autocrime in the Spondon neighbourhood
    This issue was set on 02 December 2009
     
    Actions to be taken are as follows:
     
    • Increased high visibility patrols in the area by Police and PCSOs
    • Information to be relayed to community as reminder to remove valuables from vehicles when left un-attended

     
  2. Anti-social behaviour on Nottingham Road and surrounding streets
    This issue was set on 02 December 2009
     
    Actions to be taken are as follows:
     
    • Increase in high visibility patrols in the area by Police/PCSOs/Special Constable
    • Encourage community to keep reporting where and when nusiance behaviour occurs and where possible descriptions of offenders
    • Use of Section 30 dispersal order

     
  3. Anti-social behaviour and Underage drinking - Borrowood Park
    This issue was set on 02 December 2009
     
    Actions to be taken are as follows:
     
    • High visibility patrols in the area by Police/PCSOs
    • Section 30 Dispersal Order in place - gives officers powers to move on individuals causing disruption. Arrests take place where request is ignored.
    • Operation Little which specifically targets anti-social behaviour
