This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Kilburn, Coxbench, Horsley, Horsley Woodhouse, Denby and Holbrook. It belongs to the Amber Valley policing section.
Kilburn is a large village 6 miles from Derby, the main road, which is the B6179, formerly known as the A61, runs through the centre and actually splits it into two parts at its junction off the Kilburn tollbar crossroads. This is also the dividing line between Denby and Lower Kilburn.
Post: All written correspondence to the Safer Neighbourhood team should be posted c/o the area headquarters address at the top-right of the page.

We encourage local residents and members of the community to contact us with any information or concerns.
Lead thefts in Kilburn and the surrounding area.
This issue was set on 23 June 2010
Actions to be taken are as follows:
We will increase patrols in the area.
We are using a DNA marker grease to tag lead in the area and help us to trace any future thefts.
We would like to encourage members of the public to contact us if they have seen anything suspicious.
These priorities were agreed with your team at your last Safer Neighbourhoods meeting. These meetings are open to everybody and allow you to affect what you feel needs addressing in your area.
Crime Mapping allows us to show you where crime is happening at a local level, so we can better engage with our communities and help them determine how best to police the area they live in.
Register your car here and help improve security. If your car is spotted being driven by someone who appears to be under 25, police officers can pull the car over and check the driver has permission from you to use the vehicle.
Sign up here for the free Community Messaging Service. The system is designed to circulate information rapidly, to keep members of the community informed of crimes in their area and current events, as well as appeals for witnesses to crime.
