If you are based in a rural location within the High Peak & Derbyshire Dales area, you may find it difficult or inconvenient to visit one of our police enquiry offices. This is why we introduced the mobile police station. It allow us to visit you!

About Our Station

The High Peak and Derbyshire Dales is served by two Mobile Police Stations, which are staffed by Mobile Station Officers, Peter Taylor and Barry Clay.
 
Each week, they visit 19 rural villages in the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales, providing a high profile presence and bringing a police enquiry office to your neighbourhood.
 
Mobile Police Stations can deal with anything that a normal static police enquiry office deals with.

Mobile Station Officers

Barry Clay

Peter Taylor

Peter Taylor, who spent 30 years as a police officer, became a Mobile Station Officer in 2002.
 
He said: "I am able to offer advice and reassurance to the people I meet in the community. My aim is to provide a first class service with a smile and a caring manner."
 
Barry Clay, a former park keeper, became an Mobile Station Officer in January 2008.
 
He said: "What I lack in experience I more than make up for in the enthusiasm I have for this role.
 
"I have already made lots of contacts and friends through my visits and every day I learn something new."
