B Central Policing Section

The section not only covers the main towns of Buxton, Chapel-en-le Frith and Whaley Bridge, but also the outlying villages of Chinley, Buxworth, Furness Vale, Dove Holes, PeakDale, Smalldale, Wormhill, Sterndale Moor and other rural areas. The section also has responsibility for policing parts of the Hope Valley including Castleton, Edale and Bamford.

Policing Your Neighbourhood

Inspector Tracy Lewis is section inspector for the B Central Policing Section.
 
The priorities for our section are to continue to reduce levels of violence, damage and thefts. We will do this through enforcement action, the targeting of repeat offenders and through partnership working with other agencies. It is also crucial that we continue to tackle anti-social behaviour, something that can affect the lives of many.
 
To help achieve these aims, we rely heavily on information and assistance from local people. Together we can continue to make this area even safer.
