Glossop Policing Section

The B North policing section is situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It encompasses a number of urban areas, surrounded by more rural villages.

Policing Your Neighbourhood

I am Gareth Meadows, Section Inspector for the Glossop and New Mills areas.

We aim to provide a quality service the public is satisfied with and a team of local officers you can have pride in.

Comparatively the area is a safe place to be. It has enjoyed falling levels of overall crime for a number of years which I aim to sustain. However, I recognise that issues of criminal and anti-social behaviour do remain and this can affect the quality of life and fear of crime for local residents.

In partnership with appropriate agencies we will listen to and recognise such concerns. We will take positive action to tackle them.

Most importantly we aim to keep you informed of what we are doing to address the issues that are important to you.

Insp. Gareth Meadows
