Derby South Policing Section  

The Derby South policing section covers a total of 344 square miles, incorporating rural villages and town centres, with Shardlow in one corner, Foston in another and Lullington at the bottom.
 
Policing is co-ordinated from Swadlincote, with an additional team office at Melbourne.

I am Inspector Alan Sandeman, section inspector for Derby South Policing Section.
 
My teams work closely with South Derbyshire District Council, other partners and the general public to deal with crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour issues, including speeding vehicles in rural areas and nuisance behaviour.
