Thirteen people arrested during drug raids in Derby

Thirteen people have been arrested during 12 drug raids at addresses in the Derby area, mainly in Sinfin. This is part of the ongoing work by Operation Redshank to tackle drug and gang crime in the city.
 
The 11 men and two women were arrested this morning in Sinfin, Chellaston and Chaddesden on suspicion of trafficking drugs.
 
A quantity of drugs has also been recovered.
 
Temporary Superintendent Gary Cathcart said: "We are acting on information received from the community and supported by the investigations of Operation Redshank. We will continue to pursue the criminal element living within and corrupting our communities and to deal positively with the information which comes from the public."
