Eight charged with conspiracy to supply drugs following raids at 12 Derby addresses
Police who carried out 12 warrants in Derby have charged eight people with conspiracy to supply drugs.
Officers carried out raids in Sinfin, Chellaston and Chaddesden on Tuesday, January 26, arresting 15 people.
Seven men, aged in their 20s and one who is 32, have been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin and cannabis.
They appeared before magistrates in Derby today (Thursday, January 28).
A 30-year-old man has been charged with the same offences and will appear at court at a later date.
Two women, both aged 25, were released on bail pending further enquiries along with three men aged 20, 22 and 28.
One man, aged 26, was released without further action.
The raids were part of the ongoing work by Operation Redshank to tackle drug and gang crime in the city.
A quantity of drugs was also recovered from the properties.
