Residents invited to get their property security marked

Officers from the Borrowash and Ockbrook Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to invite local residents to a property marking event.

The event will be held on Saturday, 27th February at the main entrance of Somerfields in Borrowash, 9am - noon.

PCSO Matthew Boyer said: "We will be offering a free property marking service for many items, such as bikes and tools, as well as giving out crime prevention advice and safety tips.

"Engraving in itself is a fantastic deterrent to the would-be thief as property marking makes an item more traceable.

"We would like to encourage residents to come along on Saturday 27th to have their goods marked up and to find out more about staying safe and secure in 2010."
