Appeal for information after a fatal collision in Staveley

Police are appealing for information to help them trace the movements of two cars before they were involved in a fatal collision.
 
At about 10.20pm on Monday, February 22, a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a red Peugeot 306 collided in Staveley Lane, Staveley.
 
The driver of the Corsa, a 31-year-old man from Sheffield, was treated by paramedics at the scene but died from his injuries. There was no one else in the vehicle.
 
The man driving the Peugeot suffered arm injuries and was taken to hospital. His three passengers suffered minor injuries.
 
Collision investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen either car before the collision to call police.
 
The Corsa was travelling north toward Eckington while the Peugeot was travelling in the opposite direction from Eckington toward Staveley.
