Woman charged with six counts of fraud

Police have charged a woman with six counts of fraud following an investigation into a Derbyshire pet cremation service.
 
The bodies of four dogs were discovered in a field in Lower Hartshay near Ripley on Tuesday August 18 2009. Their owners alleged that they had been sent for cremation.
 
Officers liaised with the RSPCA, Amber Valley Environmental Health and the Environment Agency during the investigation.
 
The 34-year-old woman, from Heage, will appear before magistrates in Derby on Monday, March 15.
