Police are planning on holding a number of bike marking sessions during the next few months, as the warmer weather approaches.

It follows a successful campaign to mark personal property in the area over the course of the last few weekends.

Officers have spoken to more than two hundred people during the sessions at the mobile police station, which has been parked in various locations including Glossop, Simmondley, Gamesley and Hadfield.

The events are being combined with increased patrols to help reduce and prevent the number of burglaries in the area.

Residents are still being encouraged to contact their local Safer Neighbourhood policing team to arrange a crime prevention visit to their home.

To contact them call 0345 123 33 33 or email glossop.neighbourhoods@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk.
