Three arrested after robbery

Three men have been arrested after an 82-year-old woman was robbed in a South Derbyshire street.
 
The woman was walking along Derby Road in Melbourne at around 9:50pm last night (Wednesday April 21st) near to Budgen's Supermarket.
 
She was approached by three people who grabbed her handbag and knocked her to the floor.
 
Members of the public came to assist her and looked after her until the emergency services arrived.
 
Officers were dispatched to the scene and shortly afterwards arrested three men, two aged 21 and one aged 18, on suspicion of robbery. They are currently in custody.
 
The woman was left very shaken by the incident and was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital to be checked over but has since been discharged.
