Sheila gave a moving speech about her work with young people in the city of Derby who are at risk of sexual exploitation. Sheila also thanked Derbyshire Constabulary for their help in this area of police work.
The Celebrating Achievement Awards held at Force Headquarters in Ripley on Monday, May 17 recognised the individuals and teams that go the extra mile to help reduce crime and improve the quality of life for residents.

Be part of something special |
His commitment to what is, after all, a voluntary role has been outstanding. He has gone to great lengths to embrace the concept of the role of a special constable working alongside our Safer Neighbourhood teams, forging links with the community, acting as a visible police presence and first port of call for residents. What stood out was the success of his own initiatives to support our drink drive and speeding campaigns. Simon will go forward for the Ferrer's Trophy, the national Special Constabulary award. |
