Propety marking event is set to be held in Borrowash
Officers from the Borrowash and Ockbrook Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to invite local residents to a property marking event.
The event will be held on Saturday, 7th August at the main entrance of Somerfield on Victoria Avenue in Borrowash, 11am - 2pm.
PCSO Matthew Boyer said: "We will be offering the property marking service for many items, such as bikes; tools and electrical items, as well as giving out crime prevention advice and safety tips.
"Engraving is a fantastic deterrent to the would-be thief as property marking makes an item more traceable.
"We will also be offering free security timers and window alarms to help residents protect their homes.
"We would like to encourage people to come along on Saturday, 7th August to have their goods marked up and to find out more about staying safe and secure this summer."
