Chief Officers
Derbyshire Constabulary is led by a team of chief officers headed by the Chief Constable, Mick Creedon. Chief Constable  |
Mick Creedon took over as Chief Constable on October 1st 2007. He started his career at Leicestershire Constabulary at the age of 22 after graduating from the University of Manchester. He spent the majority of his service working as a detective and rose to head up the specialist crime department before moving to Derbyshire Constabulary in 2003 as Assistant Chief Constable (Operations).
In 2006 he moved to work as the national co-ordinator on serious and organised crime for the Association of Chief Police Officers, where he held the rank of Deputy Chief Constable. |
Deputy Chief Constable  |
Alan Goodwin joined Derbyshire Constabulary after completing his 'A' Levels at Buxton College Grammar School. He was appointed to the post of Assistant Chief Constable in Derbyshire in January 2000 and became Deputy Chief Constable in April 2003. |
Assistant Chief Constable (Operations)  |
ACC Goodman joined the force from West Midlands Police where he had been the Police Commander for the Aston and Central Birmingham Operational Command Units. He started his career with Nottinghamshire Police.
He said: "I was born on the Nottinghamshire-Derbyshire border and now live on the Leicestershire-Derbyshire border and am very much an East Midlander through and through. |
Assistant Chief Constable (Support)  |
ACC Dee Collins joined the Cleveland Police in 1987 and has spent most of her service in operational roles. She also served in Cumbria Constabulary before joining Derbyshire Constabulary in April 2007.
Whilst in Cleveland she became their first female officer to work on their Armed Response Team. |
Director of Finance & Administration  |
Terry Neaves is responsible for ensuring all financial activities undertaken within the force are administered in accordance with statutory requirements and best professional practice. |
Divisional Commander, Amber Valley & Erewash  |
Garry Sherwood is the senior officer responsible for the Amber Valley & Erewash area of Derbyshire. In policing terms, this is known more specifically as 'A' Division. |
Divisional Commander, High Peak & Derbyshire Dales  |
Peter Lewis is the senior officer responsible for the High Peak & Derbyshire Dales area. In policing terms, this is known more specifically as 'B' Division. |
Divisional Commander, Chesterfield & North East Derbyshire
Divisional Commander, Derby & South Derbyshire  |
Andy Hough is the senior officer responsible for the Derby & South Derbyshire area. In policing terms, this is known more specifically as 'D' Division. |
Divisional Commander, Operations Division| |
Paul Evans is head of numerous units offering specialist support across Derbyshire. These include firearms, roads policing, collision investigation, dogs and the helicopter. |
Head of Crime Support| |
Tony Blockley is the current Head of Crime Support department. He is responsible for the specialist crime support sections who investigate the most serious and organised crime in the county. |
