Quality of Service
 |
We deal with a wide range of enquiries. Some are straightforward. They can be resolved immediately over the telephone or at a police enquiry office, for example. Others need further investigation or the benefit of specialist expertise before they can be resolved. |
At Derbyshire Constabulary, we take pride in providing a high quality of service to you regardless of why or how you have made contact with us. We cannot guarantee that we will always be able to solve every crime or incident that you report to us. However, we are committed to providing a service that responds professionally and appropriately to your particular needs. We want you to feel satisfied that we have provided the highest quality of service and that we value you as our customers and take all your concerns seriously. |
Policing PledgeDerbyshire Constabulary is one of five East Midland police forces which are the first to jointly sign-up to the national Policing Pledge.
The Policing Pledge is between the police and the public and is part of a programme of radical reform to change the relationship between the public, police and Government. It contains clear commitments for all forces and outlines the way any issues should be dealt with. It also informs the public of the standard of service they should expect and gives communities a stronger voice in setting local police priorities.

Restorative JusticeRestorative Justice brings victims, offenders and communities together to decide on a response to low level crime and anti-social behaviour in the community. It is about finding positive solutions and encouraging offenders to face up to their actions, making them understand what they've done wrong and give them an opportunity to do something to repair the harm.
Find out more about Restorative Justice and how it affects you. Citizen Focused PolicingCitizen-focused policing is a phrase you may be hearing a lot about recently. Our Deputy Chief Constable, Alan Goodwin, has recorded a short film to explain what citizen focused policing is and what it means to you. User SatisfactionPolice Forces in England & Wales are required by the Home Office to undertake satisfaction surveys to assess the quality of service provided to victims of crime and service users. There are a number of national performance indicators that contribute to the new national performance framework called APACS (Assessments of Policing & Community Safety).
