In April 2010, Chief Constable Mick Creedon announced that our crime levels across the county had fallen for the seventh year in succession, with the crime reduction equating to nearly 35,000 fewer victims of crime over this period.

The end of year figures also saw domestic burglary reduced by nine per cent in comparison to the previous year, vehicle crime by 22 per cent and criminal damage by 12 per cent. This stretches from county-wide to divisional and Safer Neighbourhood team level, and is updated on a monthly basis.

The survey obtained the views of over 5,400 residents of Derbyshire on issues relating to policing in local communities and public confidence in the service provided by Derbyshire Constabulary.

The report rates how police forces are performing in key areas and gives the public information on how much the service costs them.
