What is Bullying?

You are being bullied if someone is:

  • Calling you names

  • Hurting or threatening you physically, by pinching, hitting, pushing, shoving, biting etc

  • Stealing money or belongings from you

  • Damaging your clothes or belongings

  • Spreading rumours about you or taking your friends away from you

  • Sending you phone text messages, e-mails or chat room messages that make you feel afraid.

Stop bullying! It's important you tell someone:

  • Tell your parent or the grown up looking after you

  • Tell a teacher

  • Tell another adult you trust, like a relative

  • If you can't talk to any of these, telephone the free Childline number on 0800 1111.
