A 23-year-old man has been hospitalised after sustaining serious injuries following an assault in the early hours of Sunday morning (27 October) in Buxton.
The man had just left the Level 2 Club in Scarsdale Place, and was near a bus stop on the opposite side of the road, when he was approached by two men and punched in the face. He lost consciousness and was taken to Stepping Hill hospital where he remains.
The incident is understood to have happened sometime between 1.15am and 2am.
His injuries, although serious, are not believed to life-threatening.
Officers would now like to hear from anyone who has information about this incident, any businesses in the area with private CCTV installed, or anyone with dash cam fitted who was driving nearby at the time.
Any footage that may be of use to officers should be downloaded onto another device and safely kept for officers to view.
