Detectives investigating an assault, in which a man sustained a fractured skull, are appealing for witnesses.
The incident happened sometime between 9pm and 10pm on Saturday 6 November outside the Pride of the Peaks pub in Market Street, New Mills.
It was reported that there had been an argument which resulted in a 21-year-old man being punched by another man. He fell to the ground unconscious and was then kicked in the head by a third man.
The victim was taken to Stepping Hill hospital for treatment to his injuries.
A 29-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm.
Officers would like to hear from anyone with information about this incident.
