Man arrested in connection with Buxton assault following appeal

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after we appealed for witnesses following an incident in Buxton.

A 54-year-old man reported that he had been assaulted in the Serpentine Walks area off Burlington Road, near the Pavilion Gardens, on 16 July at around 6pm.

An appeal last week led to the arrest of a 51-year-old man from Buxton.

The man has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

We know that there were a number of people in the area that day and are keen to hear from anyone else who may have information useful to our investigation.
