A man has died after a collision last weekend on the main road between Winster and Wensley.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a motorbike on the B5057 at around 5.55pm on Sunday 10 July.
The road was closed while officers dealt with the scene and carried out initial enquiries.
John Davis suffered serious injuries following the collision and died at the scene.
The 56-year-old has been formally identified and his family are receiving support from specialist officers. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
It is thought John had been riding his silver Triumph Tiger in the direction heading from Winster towards Wensley.

Officers believe there was a white vehicle passing through the area around the time, and a number of people did stop to help but had left before police arrived.
We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, noticed the motorbike in the moments before or after the crash or have any dashcam or CCTV footage.
