Detectives are inviting the public to contact them directly, should they have any information relevant to a murder inquiry launched after the death of an 11-year-old boy.
This can be done by following the link to the Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) where any witness information will be sent straight to the investigation team.
Earlier today we published an appeal which detailed that a man had been charged with murder, following the death of an 11-year-old boy.
Ambulance crews were called to Thorpes Road, Heanor on 18 June after receiving a report that a young boy was injured. The boy sadly later died in hospital.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone with information about a white Vauxhall Combo van (pictured) that may be displaying one of the following registrations:
We believe the van was in the Thorpes Road between 1.15 and 1.25pm on 18 June and are extremely keen to hear from anyone who saw the van there.
You can also anonymously contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111, or by visiting the Crimestoppers website.
