We’re appealing for information after a fatal collision in Holbrook yesterday evening.
Officers attended an incident in Red Lane shortly after 11.30pm (on 15 September) following a report that a grey Mini Cooper had left the road and collided with a grass verge causing it to overturn.
A passenger in the car, a man in his 40s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers, though formal identification has yet to take place. Our thoughts go out to them at this sad time.
The driver of the car, a 36-year-old man, was taken to hospital as a precaution but his injuries are not described as serious.
He was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
There were two other passengers in the car, men aged 38 and 41, neither were injured during the collision.
We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash cam footage of the incident.
Witnesses, or anyone with information, should contact us via the following methods quoting incident 22*539635:
