Appeal after man dies in Darley Dale collision

We are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision that happened in Darley Dale to come forward and help officers with their enquiries.

The incident took place in Station Road, near the crossroads with Old Road and Church Road, at around 5.30pm on Monday 9 December.

A 73-year-old man died following a collision with a silver VW Polo. The man’s family are aware and are being supported by officers.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

We want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, in particular anyone with dashcam footage that may have captured the incident or the moments leading up to it.
