Detectives have launched a murder investigation following an alleged incident in Chaddesden Lane, Chaddesden yesterday evening (Saturday, April 20), and have confirmed a 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Officers were called at 9.45pm and on arrival found a man injured in a car park, near to Chaddesden Park. The man was taken to hospital where he sadly died a short time later.
Formal identification of the man is yet to take place.
The 16-year-old remains in police custody.
Detectives would like to hear from anyone with information about the incident, or who may have been in the area at the time.
