Detectives investigating an assault on a cyclist in Macklin Street, Derby have released an image of a man they would like to speak to about the incident.
We received a call to report an assault just after 3.40am on Wednesday, June 26. The incident is understood to have happened at around 3.30am when a 61-year-old woman was cycling to work, and was approached by a man and punched in the face.
Officers have also released CCTV footage of the incident, which can be seen below.
The victim fell from her bike but managed to get up and was helped by a passer-by in Victoria Street.
She was taken to hospital to be treated for a head injury.
