Detectives investigating an assault, in which two men were assaulted in Derby, are asking for help to identify a number of people who they believe may be able to help with their enquiries.
Two men aged 24 and 25 were walking home after in night out between 3.30am and 3.45am when they were approached by a group of people in Iron Gate and attacked.
The 24-year-old man sustained serious injuries during the assault in which he was knocked to the ground and stamped on. The 25-year-old man was also assaulted resulting in minor injuries.
Detective Constable Rachel Ward said: “Since this incident happened on December 8 last year we have been following a number of lines of enquiry in order to inform our investigations into what took place.
“We would now like to ask for the public’s help in identifying a group of people that we would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
“If you recognise yourself, or someone you know, in these images I’d urge you to make contact with us.”
