Officers investigating an assault at a bus stop in Nottingham Road, Chaddesden, are appealing for members of the public who stepped in and helped the victim to come forward.
The incident happened at around 8.15pm on Saturday, May 11, close to the junction of Reginald Road South.
The victim reported that a man approached him from the cemetery and verbally abused him. The attacker then physically assaulted him, causing him to lose his glasses.
The attacker is described as being white, around 50-years-old, balding and of slim to medium build.
We are keen to speak to the witnesses who stepped in to help the victim, as they may have information that will help our enquiries.
