Officers are appealing for information following a racist incident in a Swadlincote street.
The victim of the incident, a 43-year-old man, contacted police after being called a racist term outside Rowley Court, Swadlincote, at 2.55pm on October 11.
The man who abused the victim was unknown to him and walked off from the area in the direction of the police station.
