Two 13-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after a series of incidents in Derby.
On Saturday (4 January) we released an appeal about a series of robberies involving pensioners in and around Derby city centre.
The incidents took place in Phoenix Street at around 10.30am on January 4, at 8.45pm on Friday, 3 January, in Forester Street, and in Osmaston Road at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 31 December.
Yesterday two 13-year-old boys from Derby were arrested on suspicion of five robberies and have been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
Detective Sergeant Nicola Musson, said: “I would like to thank the public for their help in supporting the victims of these incidents at the time and in coming forward with information following our appeal.
“Following that appeal we yesterday arrested two 13-year-old boys from Derby who have now been released on bail.
“We are still keen to speak to anyone who was in the areas at the times detailed above and may be able to help us with our investigations.”
