Officers investigating an allegation of robbery in Long Eaton have issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward.
The robbery is reported to have happened shortly after 3.20pm on Friday 26 June in Bostocks Lane.
A 26-year-old woman was assaulted by a man who attempted to snatch her bag.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and later released on police bail.
The man has now been remanded into prison custody in relation to other matters.
It is understood that a number of vehicles were nearby at the time and that various people stopped and spoke with the victim.
