Officers are appealing for witnesses to an assault in which a man suffered serious injuries to his eye.
The incident occurred between 8.30pm and 9.15pm yesterday (Friday 8 May) in Slack Lane, Derby.
The victim, a 32-year-old man from Derby, was found with a serious injury to his eye after being punched in the face, in what is understood to be an isolated incident. He was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injury.
Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and may be able to help with the investigation. Of particular interest to detectives are any drivers with dashcam footage or homeowners with CCTV footage of the area at the time of the assault.
